3/16 thick knives

Wow. Go to work for two days, and good things happen!

Thank you all, for the suggestions!

I suppose I have no excuse not to get a Busse/Swamprat, seeing as how they are right in my "sweet spot" for so many things.

And thanks to OcnLogan, as well! I keep forgetting about Becker, and that may hold me over until I'm ready to spend the money on a Busse....

3/16" is my preference for folders... and my folders are 4.5"-6" sharpened length.

Some of the Bark River knives are about that thickness. The standard Bravo 1 is a little thicker than that at .217". They have others that are at .187 like the Boone, Trail buddy, Huntsman, Nomad, and Canadian Camp II to name a few.

Our Ambush line has the Alpha using 3v steel in a .187 thickness with a 5.125" blade.

I love my Alpha. Cut/slices very well for its size and has the thickness for harder work.

I find myself leaning this way these days especially Since getting my TSF Gorgon. I've become a fan of a well shaped thicker folder. So much so that I find myself passing over folders I was once interested in in favor of a thicker grind with good edge geometry.
