I was gonna try the 5 gallon bucket ac set up.. I just havent had time.. It's been so hot this summer, i've been sleeping down stairs on the couch, it's atleast 10 degrees cooler down there. it's been in the high 90's almost all year and in the summer it's in the 100's... we are on severe drought mode out here and on strict sprinkler usage, $1000.00 fine if there is water on the sidewalk when using sprinklers... we have turned off our sprinklers cause having green grass is not on my priority list... can you believe there are people actually arguing and finding when and what times to water?? every other day for odd numbered houses for 3 to 8 minutes at a time... I told them "keep water your grass and instead of grass watering, those days are gonna be when we have to go get water from the water truck".... green grass is priority... check out this picture from Folsom Lake.
That is scary, and downright ridiculous that people would choose to water their lawn during a drought, period. Not that I can speak from experience, tho. We have had a MUCH cooler summer than in recent history - mid-August and I woke up to 52°F this morning - and nobody ever thinks about water usage. Electricity, OTOH, is a different story, though not this summer. Wally got stuck with a LOT of fans and AC units this year, as we really had no really hot weather.

Morning Snark.

Welcome home WW. Those pictures look sweet man! Looks like it was an awesome trip!

Fly! That knife looks sweet bud! get some scales one it!

Thanks bud, that it was!! Wish it wasnt over LOL

Ill drop just a few here, and then if i cant find anywhere.. .besides general... to post them.. Ill just post a link here to all the pictures... I only uploaded a few so far. I have over 160 pictures from the weekend so ill be uploading more during the next day or 2 as well.

Cool pics, and congrats on getting certified

In other news, Angie had her consultation yesterday. Turns out she doesn't need surgery on her knee, so that's good news... she was pretty freaked out about that idea. Thanks for the kind thoughts everyone :)

Spent a lot of time climbing in the south west and I could never understand the fixation with growing lawns in what was/is essentially a desert. There are so many other more sustainable ways to create ground cover without wasting drinking water.

Great news James. What sort of treatment will she pursue?

Thanks bud, and thats GREAT news about Angie!! Im sure she is feeling quite relieved!!

Just made breakkie. So yummy! Couple eggs, some cheese, some Benton's bacon, some sriaccha, some banana peppers, all wrapped up Derek-style. Now drinking some coffee and waking up. What's on everyone's agenda today?

I'm monitoring gravity in the vicinity of my recliner this morning. Seems to be holding pretty steady so far.

JT -good to hear. Knee surgery should be avoided almost as certainly as back surgery. I've known too many people who've had one or the other and ended up worse than before surgery.

WW - Congrats on a great weekend of chop therapy! Looks like you represented yourself and all of us very well.

In other news... I'm back on the DL. I got T-Boned yesterday by a cop. He rolled through a stop sign and hit me on the passenger's side. Car is definitely totaled but dealing with the city of Dallas' insurance will be a joy I'm sure. Already got a lawyer so I guess I'll let him do his thing while I try to get healed up enough to go back to work. :grumpy:

I have noticed a gravitational spike in the eyelid area a time or two.
That definitely sounds like something that needs to be further investigated!

So, Dallas is going to be renamed "City of Moore" soon eh? Sucks though hope you get better quick!

Thanks Cbear & Trade. I'll try to keep my self pity and whining to a minimum. Just kinda feels like I was almost 100% again and this happens. Anyway, I'm gonna take a nap now.

I may have just experienced "too much cowbell" for the first time. The neighbor cut loose with a few rounds from his Barrett.

Thanks RK, and glad your OK bud!!

I hope you gave HIM a ticket :D

I had some left over BBQ jerk chicken and rice and beans for "brunch" i guess you call it. I dont eat breakfast... I normally eat my first meal around 11-12... Anyways it was delicious last night and still delicious today. The little Caribbean spot up the road can cook their butts off.
