I have something real nice to offer today....
Maker Bob Neal ,Monticello KY. , and also stamped,"ss" , "09" (I'm thinking the year 2009) , and "Hand Made" .on blade tangs. Custom hand made lock back whittler. This knife is so finely crafted it is ,to me , amazing. Thin brass liners allow for a super slim profile. Domed spun head brass pins on this knife,it is super tight & strong. The knife is 4" closed. It tapers thin to both ends and the thickest spot is at the lock section of the back spine & is 1/2". I'm guessing, the "ss" is 440C. Fantastic grinds ,very thin & sharp, appears original edges.Crescent nail pulls & a high satin polish on the blades. Main clip blade is locking, measures 2-7/8" with 2-5/8" of cutting edge, and open,OAL is 6-7/8" . The secondary blades, both pen & sheep foot type (or may be considered a coping) are 2" with 1-3/4" of cutting edge and with either open the OAL is 5-7/8". Both secondary blades have a smooth crisp walk and talk, about 5+ to 6 snappy pull/action. In the half stop position the spring sits proud the exact small amount on each. There are no gaps on this knife,no blade wiggle,no blade rub,and the "nesting" is super tight & compact. Nickel silver bolsters. Amber Sambar is thin, and a perfect match,it's drop dead gorgeous material. This knife is pre owned, out of a collection & I do not believe it was ever carried or used. I feel it is a collectable & IMO a rare knife. But it also would make a great carry knife, and I think this maker intended for that. There is a video of Bob Neal on the internet if you search , " Bob Neal Monticello KY. knife maker " , very cool.
The lock up on the main blade, the lock,is so crisp & vault like,it just adds to the knife's appeal.
This knife will ship in a leather padded zipper case
Sold Thanks
