Sunk Joint means the blade tang (run up) does not stick up above the bolster
in the closed position hence making it easier on the pocket. Some patterns because
of their design do not allow this.

still waiting on mine! (I know, it shipped yesterday).

General question-are your bolsters and liners machined from one piece or integrated together in another manner?

And generally, how do you recommend to sharpen / hone?

This one is very pretty.

Yes I recommend sharpening by hand with a hone. My bolsters are not attached they
are one and the same piece of steel as the liners. I start with a piece of steel and then
mill away everything but the thickness of the liner. (integral) hope this helps.

Ken,ALL of your knives are fantastic, always, but this one! I'm not in a good spot, otherwise I'd be pouncing on this. That is a gem!
Someone will be really tickled!

Ken, I really like the handles on your barlows. With everything rounded like you do they would be real comfortable in the hand and pocket. This knife is beautiful!!!

Ken,there's nothing left to say! Great looking
slip joint as always!! If only I didn't buy
2 earlier this week.... I'd be on this thing!
Excellent work!!
