K, I'm looking for a fixie 3-4 inch survival knife that can complement my thunder blades for things like carving, skinning, etc the stuff a .25 inch thick blade won't be able to do well, but if pressed can handle heavy work. I was looking at the Rc4, the Fallkniven F1 and Ranger Afghan, anyone have any ideas in that pricerange or any thoughts comparing these three knives?

Wow, that's a decent looking blade. Not too hot on the NRA stuff all over it (been a member since I was 18 when I purchased my first rifle, a K-31, but I've never liked being a walking billboard) but for the money... definitely an option.

Then try the Benchmade Rant--the Rant is a good knife at a good price. Or the Fallkniven F1 if you want to spend more.

Well, the usual suspects are:
Fallkniven F1
RAT RC-3
Bark River (they have som many).

i like that rat izula, if you can cut a fricken 4X4 in half with that small knife in 5 minuets and still shave the hair off your arm after; you can use it to survive in the wild!

check out youtube. it shows this amazing feat as a test. very awesomely fantastic.

Given the size, I was pretty incredulous when I read that, so I tracked it down, and Wow! Sorry that I doubted it!

Since I have it handy, here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSrlvqrZQKY
