3-4 inch Survival Knife

LOL....quite the video on that Izulu.

OK, the guys got some huge guns. He could cut a 4x4 in half with a screwdriver...I was more impressed by the shaving AFTER all that work.

Amazing edge retention.

Consider an Entrek Javalina, 4½" of well heat treated 3/16" thick 44C made by a great maker (Ray Ennis). I got mine at knifesupply for $85.

Definitely the Rc-3 or 4. These knives are top notch. They are widely known as some of the best survival knives. You will not be disappointed. As said above, their great customer service is the best in the industry. The knife IS the warranty, whether its been bought from some random guy or traded. If you somehow break the knife they replace it with no charge. Come stop by the Rat Cutlery area of this forum and check it out! :)

I was in the maker's forums last night and discovered the Fiddleback Bushcrafter. Looks like a very nice knife for the money. The entrek is a nice looking knife as well. I know all about RAT, I am active in their forums. I came here because I wanted a no BS comparison of what's out there, and as wonderful as the RAT Packers are you can't tell me there isn't a little bit of favoritism going on. Can anyone offer a one-over-the-other comparison of any of these knives? what you like/dislike about them?

Umm, key being "within that price range." Since you can't even buy those models any more I don't know what you Busse guys think you're all about... drives me nuts. Here's my 900 dollars worth of knives you should have but they don't make anymore, too bad for you... Give me a freaking break.
