3/4 size Military? Update?

Whatever happened to the 3/4 size Military? Last I heard, it was definitely in the works and was going to be S30V. Did I miss something? Since my ATS34 Military is one of my favorite folders, I am particularly interested in this new model.

Hi Danbo,

The 3/4 Military (called the Paramilitary) is still in the works for 2003 with S30V. It hasn't been scheduled into production as of now but we do have a conceptual prototype that we displayed at the SHOT Show last week- getting great response. Sal or myself will definitely post when a production date is set.

Should I understand that it will NOT look like the Military? Another blade shape perhaps?

There was talk of compression lock for the full sized millitary. Maybe they will do the same for the para. Perhaps they may even go lockback????

All speculation but since I am at it, why not try to put a ball bearing lock on it?

The last I remember hearing the Paramilitary will have a 3.25" S30V blade. It will also have the compression lock and a G-10 handle in a color besides black. Tan, blue and I think OD green were some of the colors being mentioned. This was a while ago so this information could have very well changed. Sounds like it will be a nice carry piece.
