3.5 inch fixed with good stainless steel, need help

+1 Fallkniven F1, also look at benchmades new bushcrafter in S30V, a Mora or two, gunny in S35VN, ESEE is going to be coming out with their ESEE 4 in 440C soon

The benchmade bushcrafter looks nice but don't want the leather sheath, and might be a little bigger than what I want. I've been watching for the ESEE to come out. I haven't seen a gunny in s35vn???

How about a TOPS Tactical Steak Knife in 440C?

I do like the street beat as well. The boker plus mosier is a nice looking knife too, but made in China.

Another one, which is on my list as well, is the Muela Rhino Micarta. Made in Spain, 14C28N steel, 3.9 in blade
Over here it's about 120€, dunno about the US. But it's a very nice knife for sure

Available with brown grips, too
The one with the wood grips has Muelas own MoVa steel, I don't have any info on that

Gossman does some good stuff with stainless. He may be under that 200 dollar mark for a blade that size. If not I'm sure you can find a maker under that mark.

That being said, you may want to try 3V. I know it's not stainless but it's much more resistant to rust than other carbon and tool steels. I usually test my knives in the kitchen and what would normally tarnish O1 or 1095 to all get out barely made a mark on the 3V.

The Rhino micarta is a solid built knife, and with a good steel to boot. I'm surprised to see how much is it over there, I got mine on ebay for around 80$ but I got lucky.

The MoVa steel is what pretty much what all spanish makers use. It's actually CroMoVa, Chrome-molibdenum-vanadium. It's been compared to 420HC but I think it is more like 440C; I have a few spanish blades and they are harder to sharpen (and hold the edges longer) than any 420HC that I have tried.
