Great score those grinds and overall knife design are very nice congrats to the both of you.

PP now paid. Even though this knife has Micarta and no bolsters, i still think $300 is a deal for the high quality of knife that Rick consistently turns out. I can think of at least 4 other top makers who would charge $650 and up for a similar knife, but it would not be any better and might not be as sharp.
Thanks Rick. You and your knives are both much appreciated and held in high esteem.

Roland $300 is definitely a deal for this knife. Nice grab and nice knife Rick  I'm pretty sure it's just the picture but is the shield micarta or stainless?

Nathan

Good question but "stainless hardware" likely includes shield.
roland

I think you're right but I had to ask. If it was micarta it would be a perfect match for my Menefee swayback and I'd have to take a trip up to the great white north to see if we could work a deal :D Enjoy it Roland

The shield is stainless. This is the only knife with a saber grind done on a big wheel from me. If they're is one waive in the blade you are screwed. Not that hard on girley wheels!

Rick, so that's the downside of a 'big wheel'. What's the benefit or upside ? Deeper hollow grind ?
roland

flatter grind up top of the blade but at the edge and behind the edge you steal get a hollow ground. Stays thin after repeat sharpening. Only disadvantage twice as hard to use.

Nice pick-up Roland! Helluva knife Rick it looks
like a dandy! I like that Ivory micarta and the shield
