what I have:
-4lb Kelly True Temper axe with a 35.5" straight handle. I shaved down the handle to be medium thin, it has a lignum vitae wedge. It has a shaving sharp 24 degree edge on it, brought to a polish. This is the single hardest piece of steel I've ever sharpened - a brand new Nicholson mill bastard file would barely bite into it. Yet I've used it on 5 year seasoned applewood and it did just fine. Comes with kydex sheath. The grain isn't ideal, but it does run at about 45 degree's.
-Husqvarna Carpenters Axe. 2.2lb head on a 19.5" handle. I haven't done anything to this, I received it yesterday new from baily's. It's just not quite what I was expecting. The grain on the handle is perfect. comes with leather sheath.
-2lb American Axe and Tool (AA&T) on a 19" handle. This was one of the first axes I rehandled, and it kind of shows. The wedge is sorta thin and it's been cut flush to the head with no steel wedge. The head is almost perpendicular to the handle, rather than tilted so the center is in line with the butt like it is on the kelly. The grain is great on this one as well. Comes with a loose fitting kydex sheath, good for storage but probably too loose for pack carry.
-Also included is a nicholson light machete
-and a Mora 611
What I'd like is a Gransfors Bruks swedish carving axe, Gransfors Bruks mortiseing axe, or a Gransfors Bruks carpenter axe.. I'd ask for a GB small curved adze, but I know it's a huge value difference, where the swedish carving axe is closer.
If your interested let me know
