ALL are now SOLD

Here are three older style Barry Wood folders, two are production models
but the steel handled one has a custom ground blade on it, # 29

For those not familiar with Barry Wood, he came up with this design, a swing
lock scale folder, when he was cut quite badly using a conventional lock back
folder, the lock gave way and it ended up cutting his fingers.

The knives are locked when closed and when open, they have the sides rotating around
as shown below and snap into place, you raise the one side up slightly to clear
a pin in the opposite handle and then land on that pin again when open.

Payment via US Postal money order, sorry no paypal and please no trades on these;

Now SOLD...
Price shipped in the USA on this one is $225... $200... Price drop to $185 shipped

Hi Gary,

I haven't seen that Colt pattern before. The handle shape is more rounded than in any of the Colts I have, and the serrations on top are something I haven't seen either.

Do you know if she came like that from Barry's shop, or if it was tuned afterwards? Aren't there any marks on the blade? First edition Colts were marked on the right "Colt Hartford CT", and 2nd and 3rd editiond were marked the same but on the left side of the blade. Thanks!

Jose I'll check and get back to this thread, away from home right now

I checked it over, there are faint markings that say Colt on the one side
but not clear enough to photograph, the other side has the patent # on it
as to the traction grooves, they may have been an added feature as this knife
was bought a long time ago from a collector at a Reno Knife Show.

G2 - Are these knives still for sale? I would be interested in the PCC knife if you have the original box and papers for it. And I am interested in the Colt knife. Do the leather belt sheath and box that I see in the photos come with the knife? As Jose said, I have never seen a Colt Barry Wood with quite that profile or the traction grooves but it is interesting none the less. I have 25 or so of the Colt Barry Wood folders and am always interested in different variations. Please reply to my personal e-mail address
buckspen_bruce@fuse.net
because I don't check in here very often.
Thanks.

The Colt left the corral but the others are still penned up ;)
Take another peek,

Does this one come with a box or any paperwork?
Thanks,
Don

The all metal PCC one? no, well in fact, the last two only come with the
cloth sheaths, that's it for them.
