3 blems for 8/23 -- Pix and big savings on good knives.

Wood's easier. There's lots of solutions. Carve a small chunk to fit, make a epoxy stew, or even put another material insert there, maybe on the other side as well, dress it up, balance it.

I like Bone but wood is our friend.

This thread has wandered so far I've forgotten the AK is still for sale. Take it for half price -- $62.50.

Can't leave the poor thing hanging, msg sent a couple minutes ago.

Oh, BTW - can't teach levitation, but walking on water is easy as long as you don't forget one simple thing for even an instant. What thing is that? That you can't swim!

Maybe you got it then. I sent mine off 40 minutes ago but it went to the wrong place! (The address 'helper' on my computer flicked a name up and my eye and hand was too slow to see it'd changed.) I too just sent another email to the right Bill.

I was on a roll, Rusty. I plugged in here and everything felt right.

lucky me, too bad I can't put that feeling in a vacumn container....

almost forgot; I found I sent the email to the wrong place when the recipient wrote back and admitted 'he had no idea what I was talking about." I'd said a few things on the side to Bill in my email...

That will teach me to withdraw and forget to check the posts. Thought it was gone and forgot like Uncle. Don't have a Sanu and I like the AK, 15 in. is about right. I like to play with wood, results are some good, some not so good, but I enjoy it.
Still toying with the different styles and weights. Having fun! That's what PART of life is all about
Enjoy!
I'm looking forward to checking the M43 out! Trying to decide which model/style I might give my two sons for Christmas, Gave them a KBar last year.
PAPPY? Recent post mentioned Bowie Knives illegal in Tx. How about Khukuris? Any problem if I give my son in Dallas one? Dale

I'm rambling, but recently discovered the 'search button'. Sure is nice to consolidate a particular subject. I need a new monitor! My CPU was updated last year, but kept the 10 yr old monitor. Some sites I have difficulty seeing the smaller print or the topic color blends into the background color. One of my priorities, other than Khuks. LOL

Woke up and found a msg from Uncle he'd send it out today so I guess I got my msg in in time. Interesting that three of us got the urge at about the same time after it was hanging there for 3 days.

Regarding the knife laws in Texas, those restrictions posted earlier are just for carrying out in public. On your own property, nearly everything is okay. Not sure about automatic knives but that's not my thing. Bowies, khuks, daggers etc are all okay on your property. And carrying in public can be okay at times if you're not being a dumba$$, depending on the local "peace officer" vs "law enforcement officer" conditions.
