Thinning out my stock of pack/kit hatchets. These have all been carried and lightly used. All have original edges that have been touched up with steel/strop only, and all have varying degrees of light surface patina as shown. All three are nice and sharp. These are worker bees, not safe queens, all with full service lives ahead of them. Prices include Priority shipping and PayPal G&S fees. No trades, thanks, and USA shipping addresses only, please.

First up is a Huntsman (Hunter Martin) hawk. 12” long by .20” thick stock. His description: “utility hawk made from 52100 with spring tempered body and 58RC bit and poll….ground and sharpened but does not have scales.”

I had Hunter do a blended convex edge grind and clean up the surface before sending it to me. When I got it I wiped it down with Breakfree CLP, wrapped haft in plastic wrap, then did a hockey-tape wrap full haft—just an excellent light packable hatchet for camp or backpacking. Can easily be stripped of the wrap if you want to make scales or do your own wrap. Ships in a tape-wrapped cardboard sleeve, which has been its mode of carry in my backpack—not pretty, but works.
$85 all in. SOLD

Next is a Wind River Wild (TRocky here on BFC) piece with beautiful Koa scales—lots of chatoyance. Includes a black kydex sheath (shown) with nylon straps and buckles. Just under 12” long by ¼” thick in the head with tapered integral haft. Stonewashed 80CRV2 @ 60 HRC. Beautiful, well-balanced, go-anywhere hawk. His retail price is $250 on this one. Yours for
$150 all in. -$25 = $125. SOLD

Greco is now sold. Last is an older bullet-proof mini by John Greco. Only 8” long and a full ¼” thick with integral full tang and black G10 scales. A tank built of A2, which was John’s preferred steel—his A2 heat treat has a great reputation. Small enough for a minimal kit or you can even slip it into a large coat pocket. Comes with black leather snap sheath (shown) with belt loop.
SOLD $65 all in.
