3 condors arrived today--TESTED ON PAGE 2

Both are nice but I like the Pack Golok best of the two. Very nice taper to it.

Took all 3 plus a SIegle SAR out for some testing

I brought the Siegle SAR as it's the most comfortable knife I have and use it to judge ergonomics of other knives. But it's a Heavy Sucker!!!(5/16" Thick)

My testing results on the 3 Condors

The Warlock and Golok need to have their edges thinned out on on a belt sander .They are both too thick and do NOT chop very well due to the shoulder area being so thick.

The Warlock's Blade coating is also preventing good cutting in my opinion and I will strip it off before I get the edge thinned out by my good friend Warren

The Handle of the Warlock is slightly too thin for me--while the Goloks handle is slightly too thick(I"M picky--so you might not have either issue)

As far as the Toloza--The handle is also too thin for me and moves during hard use--not much but enough that I'm hoping Carol likes it enough for us to keep it--if not--I'll re-sell it.

IMHO if you get the Warlock or Golok get ready to thin the edges yourself or order from from FortyTwoBlades as from what I hear his company offers this service when you order from him.

Feel free to ask questions

Yes--I do. :)

What do you mean by the handle on the Toloza moves during hard use? Do you mean the scales shift? If so, it shouldn't do that and I'd send it in for replacement. I believe Rick is at SHOT right now so expect responses to be a little slower than usual. He'll have an even bigger mountain of emails than usual waiting for him when he gets back, I'm sure, and it'll take a few days for him to catch up. Rick is the MAN but Condor really needs to hire him an assistant or three.

I meant that the Handle moves in my grip not that it moves or is loose from the Tang.

Of the 3 Tested it has the best fit and finish of the handle--it's just too thin for my hand

Fit and finish looks really good on these, I am meeting up with a guy tomorrow for a knife swap and may walk away with my first Condor, a golock, if we like each others blades.
Also may get a fiskar saw and my 5th! cold steel bushman, it's one of the old styles with a thicker blade. I have lost a couple and they are fun as heck to mod, that's how I justify it.

The Bushman is a Outstanding Value

I Love mine as well

I love my Bushman but can't wait for the upcoming Condor Matagi. If it's as good as I think it will be it'll totally obliterate my Bushman.

I picked up the Condor golok but not the others. The blade has awesome balance, feels great, but the handle is too fat and round. Going to remove some material and remove the blade coating too, and it was a bit dull, for an unused blade. All the same I may be hooked on Condor knives! :)

42blades, just found a post you made with some nice pics, the matagi and the crocodilian machete look very interesting.
Would love to see how the matagi compares to the bushman. 3 mm is .118", my old style, thicker bushman is exactly .100", but it's got a lackluster hollow grind.

Condor is addicting, let me tell you! The performance is there--sometimes it just takes a little elbow grease to unlock it.

I am anxious to see a test from Dr. Bill or anyone else on the Engineer bolo by Condor.

It is on my want list. :D

Here is a video (not mine) of Condors Engineer ( Pack Golok is shown for comparison)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHU63sqkBpA

Here is another video showing the Pack Golok
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_m134rEBtI4

The Handle on all 3 of these Condors are MUCH better looking in regards to fit and finish than the ones in those videos

However the Pack Golok handle is very thick

And both the Golok and Warlock need to have their edges thinner out like most Busses I have tested

Both the leather sheaths are EXCELLENT for the $--

The Sheath for the Toloza SUCKS and they need to replace it with a better quzlity one

Going to be taking Carol out today and re-test all 3 with her

Will post the results
