SOLD SOLD SOLD

THREE good quality custom knives for he price of one!

First up is, perhaps, the most sinister blade I've ever beheld. A tribal sgian dubh made for me by David Farmer from forged L6 steel with black hemp cord wrap, turkshead knot, jimping, and forge marks. This is a scary knife: wide, pointy, screaming sharp, and just altogether wicked looking. Comes with the leather belt sheath David made as well as a top quality Kydex necker by Kiah. Never carried, never used to cut anything but a roll of paper towels to test the edge . . . sliced it clear to the cardboard tube.

Next is a beautiful stag handled utility knife by Jim Ort who uses the handle OZ. I believe this is elk antler? Looks and feels great. Small wide blade with La Griffe style finger hole for stability and a serrated sawback. ATS 34 steel blade. Comes with the original right handed brown leather sheath as well as a black left handed sheath made for me by Jim. Knife was carried about a dozen times but never used, although the edge is not quite as sharp as I like and should be touched up a bit.

Last is a mystery knife, formerly owned by Ban Tang who used it as his shop knife, resharpened it, made a Kydex neck sheath for it, and sold it to me. This was my EDC at work and has cut a bit of cardboard yet remains screaming sharp. Maker is Jason Ecos, 1095 steel, nice hamon on both sides, beautiful traditional wrap. Great user.

I am asking SOLD for all three, which includes USPS Priority Mail shipping. CONUS only. Thanks.

Will post pic shortly.

Sorry about poor pic quality. Elk is flawless. Cord wrap on Farmer is deep black and blade has black forge marks. Cord wrap on mystery knife is black over purple.

Will see about getting better pics up tomorrow. The color in these pics is washed out. Knives look much nicer than this.

The Farmer will fill your hand. It is a bit wider than comfortable for me. The Ort has a comfortable handle with a wide finger hole.

Approximate dimensions:

Farmer: OAL: 7.5", Blade: 3.5" long, 1.5" wide, Handle: 3.5" to knot, 1.5" wide, .5" thick.

Ort: OAL: 6", Blade: cutting edge is just over 2", 1.25" wide, Hole: just under 1" diameter, Handle: 2.5" long, 1" wide, 1" thick.

Ecos: OAL: 6.5", Blade: 3" long, 1" wide, Handle: 3.5" long, 1" wide, staggered wrapped cord is about .5" thick. VERY nice wrap on this.

Thanks for the lengths. They look nice but the handles are too short for me. I don't like handles I can't get four fingers on.

You must have huge hands!

I got a few offers on individual knives but would prefer not to split these up as I only want to ship one package, hence the low price. Priority shipping is FREE.

Just stumbled across this and thought I would let you know who the "mystery maker" is....I'm pretty sure its me ;)

Its made from 1095 steel, clay coated to get the hamon.

Glad you found it to be a good cutter!

I've got one of your pieces! it's a sweetheart of a cutter with epoxy-soaked cord wrap and a nice hamon. One of your larger pieces with a 5" blade. Nice retention on the kydex sheath you made also.

At any rate, buy with confidence. Ecos makes a great knife!

Prof.

Jason (ecos) does make excellent knives. I have owned several of them and they all performed flawlessly.

sorry for the chatting mods, I just realized this was sales thread.

So far I've gotten four requests for me to sell this knife separately . . . people seem to like your work a lot. You should make more like this, GREAT utility knife.

Final price drop to $175 shipped for all three, or I'm keeping them.

Trade value is higher. Will consider swapping for a quality OTF (Microtech, Paragon, maybe a HK Tumult + cash).
