Ah yes, the duplicity that is America. The official problem is that the gov't. has decreed "Imminent Domain" for itself. This happened just last summer. Essentially, the federal government declared that it is the sole owner of all land within the USA's borders, including privately-owned property, such as the land our houses sit on. In effect, business and homeowners are merely renting their land from the government. With the passing of this law, anyone can now theoretically be banned from doing anything because we are mere occupants and tenents instead of owners. If one applies this to "public" lands, such as Nat'l. Parks and Forests, it's easy to see how the gov't. gives itself the power to dictate land use.And how are they private property if they're funded by the state?
This law created a distinction between the government and the people - the gov't. is a distinct entity, beyond the control of the people. There's no "of, by, and for the people". Yes, it's a very slippery slope we're on.
