Recommendation? 3" EDC Flipper

I second the call for the m390 cutjack. Despite the writing on the blade, its a sturdy, responsive flipper.
The g10 is great quality, not a pocket shredder at all.

Me and my weird suggestions:

Fox Knives Terzuola FX-525 Olive Wood. (There is also a Bocoto Wood, Birch Wood, Ti Gray and Blue and a Wood&Damascus blade version)
Alternate choice: Lionsteel Mini in D2 and wood handles?

Fox Knives Terzuola Olive Wood is great looking, but really want a snappy flipper. Funny, I already have the Lionsteel mini - cool little knife and is making me look closely at the TRE...

The TRE is a very good choice, it hits all the ticks in your boxes except the wood handles one. I don’t know if you want it as your dress up knife, so that might play as a factor

Thanks for all the suggestions. I went with the Brous Specter. Basically just think it's a very cool knife. On it's way, I'll let you know what I think when it's in hand...

I too had to get a 3” folder due to my college campus rules. The knife I bought turned into my absolute favorite edc knife. It is the lionsteel Molletta. It is a frame lock with a grooved titanium handle. (It also has a ball bearing pivot which is very nice.) A feature special to this knife is you can fit it with either a flipper tail or a thumbstud for opening. The main reason I liked it so much, however, is because it is a very light, conservative knife that sits very low in your pocket. Before I carried this I either carried a zt or a gerber ao. Now whenever I go into class or restaurants I don’t get strange looks. I purchased this knife for about $180 I believe they sell it for right at $200 on their site. I often take it fishing and camping with me as well and it has stood up to everything I have thrown at it. Good luck hope this was helpful.

I'll second the Kizer Envoy.

Couple others, if you can find them, Boos Blades Mini Arrow or a Massdrop / FFKW Gent

There are a couple knives from lionsteel that are very appealing to me - that is one of them. So far I am really happy with my Brous, it's a beautiful knife. F&F excellemt, but it arrives very tight. Have to flip firmly, then it flips fast and locks hard. Loosening up as I play with it. I am also keeping an eye on Boos blades, I think a front flipper would be fun. I like the look of the Burger knives, but the price seems out of control.
