Thanks guys, I have been on BF for a while now, this is just the first time I am selling something. I have been selling mostly locally up until now. It was kind of my new years resolution to branch out and sell more knives. I figured there's no better way than this great community!!

Great looking blades Brother and nice choice of materials for the first run - Good Luck & Welcome !!!!

Walnut pins? Interesting. Pardon me if this is newb question, but do you think those will hold up? Nice clean design. .

Forester,

I think that the pins will be fine. On traditional Japanese made swords the entire handle is held on only by a single bamboo pin called a mekugi! I use west systems Gflex on all of my knives. The pins do indeed add a bit of shear strength, but with the quality of the epoxy they are really not needed. In order for that handle to come off, some serious misuse/abuse has to happen to that thing!

There was originally four knives in this run, but my nephew bought one before they were even finished. Here is a picture of that one, just for kicks:

It was handled with red oak with the same walnut pins.

These three need to get sold too guys!

Alright guys and gals,

I will be off work tomorrow, so these will ship tomorrow if they are sold. And how about this... Since this is my first sale, I will have a special if ya'll will help me out. I will offer a 15% discount on these if you promise to do a review thread on the knife, with pictures, video, etc. That will make these knives $127.50!! What do you say?

-Adam

Mr. LCV,

I can't believe I didn't think to post that!

All three knives are about the same size, but being made by hand, there are slight variations, so I will post the exact measurement for each knife.

First, the Holley handled one:
From tip to front of wood is 3 3/4", and from front of wood to butt is 4 1/2"

Second, the cherry handled one:
From tip to front of wood is 3 7/8" and from front of wood to butt is 4 1/4"

Finally, the Corian:
From tip to front of Corian is 3 7/8" and from front of corian to butt is just over 4 1/4"

I hope that makes sense/helps.
