Ok I'm looking for a EDC fixed blade it can't be any longer than 3" it will be used for cutting boxes to small branches, I know I shouldn't but I always end up usin my EDC for light prying, I'm not looking for self defense that's why I carry a gun, just a good utility knife i dont like skelatized handles... my max price is $200 thanks!

Spyderco Sage 2

EDIT: Oops. EDC fixed blade. Got it. I'll have to give that some thought . . .

There are tons of knives out there. Have you started liking a blade shape or type, and have you felt metal grips and a synthetic and liked one more? A lot of blade shapes too, do you like tantos, or full serrations combo blades, or maybe like a spear point black coated lockback?

I am a big fan of sheepsfoot and wharncliffe style blades I love micarta and g10, mainly on a fixed blade kick right now, just not interested in folders, thanks again

double the max price and get a small micarta insingo :)

edit: just read fixed blade.

get an esee izula or spyderco streetbeat.

Benchmade Activator 211

Fallkniven WM1

Or contact a knife maker on the board here, you could get a custom for <=$200 I'm sure.

Streetbeat is too long, I've looked a lot at the izula just doesn't do it for me, maybe I'll hold one at blade but I feel eh about them, idk why, they have a great reputation Im just not loving it...

If you're going to Blade I would suggest you wait until you get there. You'll get to hold many, and can get some customs for around $200.
I guess my Dozier Arkansas Traveler is my favorite small fixed blade.

I plan on holding a few at blade but I want a good idea what I want before I get in there, I kinda want better edge retention than Aus 8 thanks for all the suggestions so far!

The Benchmade Activator is a good recommendation. Various flavors of the Activator pop up on the bay. Or, you can get a custom directly from Snody for $200. Bark River has a bunch of small fixes blades. Like the Bravo Necker in 3V and the Essential EDC in CPM M4. Further, Swamp Rat has the Rodent 3.

Also, look at the custom area on the exchange here. I bought a sweet little fixed blade from Jay Wotaz in O1.

Check out the Swamprat Rodent 3 or the ESEE 3. Both have lifetime no questions asked warranties so if you plan on using it hard then either one is well-suited for it.

I have a small mike irie warncliffe fixed blade in ats34 and stag. It was 140 on the exchange. I would start there! Also, you did not mention if you want carbon or stainless blade- make a difference in price and availability.
tobin smith is a maker I would also recommend.
