#3 Filework and scrimshaw, Please comment

Alright gents, we've built Josh up enough, let's simmer down before he gets a swolled noggin. :D

Just kidding Josh, I don't think any of the guys posting here give praise without it being deserved.

Wick,
Thanks alot, It means alot to me comming from someone with your skills. I have no plans for slowing down anytime soon LOL. I'll probably pick up some supplies at Blade and be back in front of the grinder next week working on getting a few ready for heat treat so I'll be in touch soon with a little luck. Just thought I'd mention that I had a nice little chat with Jason Gatliff last week and he dropped your name when I mentioned engraving. He was shocked I knew who you were and had been to your house already. We're planning on meeting in person with a few others at blade so I'm really looking forward to that.

Thanks again and looking forward to my next trip up to Geneva -Josh

James,
Don't worry, I kick myself in the balls enough for everyone, LOL. I really am pleased with how the scrim turned out and the grinds are pretty damn close but there is plenty left to pick on.

Chainsaw file left filework a bit rough. should've sanded the filework smooth.:(
Etched the filework but didn't get it near dark enough:(
Ran plunges a good 1/8" towards scales evening them out.:(
There is a couple 36x scratches sticking out in front of scales from tapering.:(
Extremly tiny "shadow" around half of one of the pins. Light peen would've fixed this:barf:

As you can see these are minor rookie errors that WILL be corrected in the future, but they are still there.

Off to Blade within the hour. Thanks again for commenting fellas -Josh
