So I learned how to make friction folders, I have made an initial batch of 7.
Here are the first 3. These are very much user grade so I can see the interest and keep the price down.
1) 1095 steel, Black G10, red liner, ironwood backspacer, flat ground blade - $135 SOLD
.53" thick
2) 1095 steel, Orange G10, Carbon fiber spacer, hollow ground blade - $175
this was the very first one made and the prototype
.52" thick
3) Laminated Hitachi white steel with stainless cladding (san-mai) Stainless liner, black G10 and desert ironwood with ironwood spacer (red liners) - $165
.62 thick
blade length on all is just under 3" at 2 7/8" approx
closed length is just over 4" (not including the tang)
These may not have a maker's mark but will come with a letter authenticating.
These are all heat treated by me.
These are thin light slicers.
I'll be releasing 3 others that are more fancy as I complete them over the next week or so.
these other three will be with laminated Hitachi white steel, stainless clad.
