Hey guys, new here.

i piked up a ZT 0900 and I'm loving how compact yet functional the blade is. Are there any other lightweight folders you guys can recommend that have a sub 3" blade length?

Thanks.

LOL I saw the title and instantly was gonna recommend the 0900. Its the only sub 3" blade I own and I dont see me getting rid of it any time soon.

So
Spyderco techno, and second the mini grip. Rat 2 of your going cheaper, much better than the cryo imo.

Get you a Spyderco Delica as I like a 3" Blade also and I have 'many' of the Delica's and just added 3 of the KAHR Delica's to my collection of Spydies.! If you buy one and find you don't think it is for you then you can turn around and just about get your money back on the knife.!**

Tons of folders in this range. Two of my favorites are the Spyderco Caly and the Chaparral. A few other ideas:

  • Benchmade 707 Sequel
  • Benchmade Valet
  • Buck Vantage Avid
  • DPX HEAT
  • Lion Steel SR2
  • Spyderco Chubby
  • Spyderco Dragonfly2
  • Strider PT

Boker Subcom or SOG Spec Elite Mini...both awesome knives...I give the Boker the edge only because of the lower price point. The SOG is a little pricy...but definitely worth it.

Cold Steel Tuff Lite

Spyderco Techno

Spyderco Dice

Spyderco Delica

Benchmade Mini Grip

Spyderco UKPK
Kabar Dozier folding hunter
Ontario RAT 2
BRK/ESEE Zancudo

Kershaw Leek, my personal gateway knife.
The Ontario Rat 2, the Esee Zancudo, Brous Bionic, Boker Pipsqueak, a bunch of Sanrenmu knives, most Case or other traditional slipjoint knives, Strider PT, several automatics by ProTech, Microtech, and others. Don't forget Chris Reeve's small Sebenza and Mnandi, if your budget allows.

Benchmade Mini Grip, 530, 531, Mini Bone Collector (I have the one with a D2 blade and walnut scales).

Spyderco Delica, Dragonfly, Ladybug, Manbug, Chaparral, Native, Chicago, Pingo, UKPK, Techno, Leafstorm, Chubby, Memory, Air, Ambitious, etc.

More Kershaw than I care to count, including the Shuffle, Nura, Cryo, and even a couple of the Emerson collaborations.

Other than 0900, Zero Tolerance doesn't make anything that small.

Honestly, three inches is a sweet spot for folders. Your choices are vast.
