Texas Hiking / Knife testing trip

Took the Wife,my 5 1/2 Month old German Shepherd "Zeus" and 5 Blades out for some fun yesterday(Was 83 here)

Blades were

Horton "Camp Blood"---Great Chopper.Handle gave me a Blister-Sanded the sharp area off when I got home.Very secure and a CHOPPING FOOL of a Blade.Heavy-TOUGH--and just plain BAD!!! and the Convex edge is just the ticket on wood.:D

Siegle Combat Knife: Mr. Siegle made this to mimic a Straight Handled Steel Heart with a clip point.VERY COMFORTABLE-SHARP AND SWEET.Best OVERALL knife I own.:thumbup:

Becker "Magnum Camp"---
Not my cup of tea.Does not chop all that well.Too light for what I want in a CAMP knife.I LOVE my BK-9---that is my idea of a CAMP KNIFE.

Becker Campanion with Bill Siegle G-10 handles.Much sweeter than standard handles.

Bark River modified by Scott Tanguay(do not recall model)--best woodworking knife I have.Light-secure-sharp..

Nice - but which knife gave you the blisters?

Great stuff! Except for the blister :(

Glad your pooch is better - he looks good for what he went through.

Nice assortment of blades.

That must have been hell going through that with Zeus. I know when my dog is sick I'm a wreck.
Great to see he made it, great to see you guys out there having fun.
