I purchased a knife from 3 knifes out of Austria, but when it arrived I found it to be/look used (as though it was a display knife they had laying around). Not only that but the knife itself had problems, when I tried to deploy it, it would stick and often times it would not fully deploy. So, I sent the knife back, but I still haven't hear back from them (it's been over 2 months). The cost of the knife w/shipping was over $150.00 US. So, if your planning to buy a switchblade/automatic knife from them, buyers beware, I would advise against it! Learn from my mistake, soon to be their's, as I travel to Europe on a regular basis.

Considering the general well thought out nature of your post you should probably make sure it was Austria and not Australia.
It's a common mistake with folks like you.

This post probably belongs in The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly forum for vendor and member feedback. You can have a moderator move it there, but we'd still like to hear more about the specific knife you bought.

What exactly are "folks like you"? Who are you stereotyping with that statement? You can't really infer much other than that this was the OP's first post, he's probably male (user name), he bought a knife from this vendor, and that he travels to Europe on a regular basis. Do you think men that travel to Europe on a regular basis commonly confuse Austria with Australia? I really don't get the point of that statement.

BTW, A quick Google search would've told you that the vendor is, in fact, in Austria.

Why would you buy a knife from Austria when there are hundreds of knife dealers and knife sites in the U.S.A. you can buy from?
Just my two cents.

I can think of a couple of possible reasons:
1. He doesn't live in the USA.
2. He bought a knife that dealers in the USA don't carry. A Böker Lhotak is a good example.

3 Knives is a very reputable dealer. I know them personally. There has to be more to this story.

You bought a knife from a country? Or a store in the country? Which store?
Are you talking about Australia or Austria in Europe?

Edit.... Ohhh "3 knives" is a store name. Lmao. How was I supposed to know this?

Insulting

THE SHOP: We have a showroom in Lederergasse 12, Villach (Austria), where it is possible see, and if you want, buy all the products you can see online. Web Site Address: Link to non-supporting dealer removed, read the rules.
I've copy & pasted the web address for a simpleton like you, so that you don't make the same mistake again. If you were as well versed as I, you wouldn't have made such a stupid remark, but it's understandable coming from a dumb ass like you! God I hate stupid people!

Hey dumb ass, all you had to do was google it and the site would have popped up, it's that simple. Mark Twain said it best -
“It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt”

Than maybe you can offer some friendly advise, as to how I can recoup my losses? I sent it back within the required two week time frame and never heard back. It was sent to me and back by registered mail!

Thanks for the friendly advise neighbor. I'm new to the forum and still trying to figure where & how things still work. The knife I purchased was an A.G.A Campolin Maltese 9" automatic knife (Imitation horn bayo).

Fair enough, I like this particular style of knife and the fact that it's maker has a good reputation and long standing history of making quality knives. I've collected from various place/regions and have all types of knives, this was just another I wanted to add to my collection. It's not only the knife for me, but where it comes from and who makes it.

Thanks Brian - I live in the states alright, even had it shipped to Florida where I'm cooling my heals until I get back on a fishing vessel & head back to the Bering Sea this coming January. I typically get this kind of response from those who think they know everything, but in fact have nothing better to do than make comments like he did. It's not always the knife, but where it comes from and who makes it. Go easy brother!

Reprimand/Warning for inappropriate behavior issue to writer:

Response, maintain or be removed: No need, I made my point, and as luck has it, a representative from "3 Knives" actually contacted me within hours of my posts asking how they could refund my money! Funny, they received the knife back in early Dec. but never responded to any of my (4-5) e-mails, until now! A little negative publicity goes along way.

Alfa Male out!
