Thanks Josh. That sounds like a more tempting alternative to me.

I will get that edge aligned again and continue using it and see how it works out. I am not capable though of putting a new convex edge on it so I will leave that part out.

I am going to use this one for real work and give it full working days (or as long as I can endure) as I have a lot of timber to log. So time will tell if this minor flaw in the edge will develop into a bigger problem.
