My favorite is the One Handed Trekker. I won't carry it in my pocket however. I will not carry it on my belt.... Generally speaking unless I have a specific need, I do not buy or use any SAK with more than two-layers.

The forthcoming (available now as I understand it) Farmer X is a 4-layer SAK. This is way too thick for me. I could see bring it along hiking, but that is about it.

I already own a Farmer as well as a Huntsman, so I’m not nearly as excited about the Farmer X as everyone else. I can’t see myself carrying a 4 layer Alox without a sheath or suspension clip, and I’m not a huge fan of either.

Farmer was my first choice for a three layer SAK. I have a Rambler (58mm 2 layer) on my key chain for the scissors, toothpick, tweezers and file. Without the Rambler I would have seleted the Hiker. I like having a saw. Usually I can make the knife blade substitute for scissors but it doesn't substitute as well for the saw. For that reason, between the Pioneer X and the Farmer I still prefer the Farmer...

...here's mine in green.

...although now the choice between scissors and saw is nearly moot, as long as you are OK with 4 layers.
