The more Spyderco I try, the more confident I feel having them around. I was thinking these three might handle just about anything that could come around.
Top: Native
Middle: Citadel 83mm
Bottom: Caly 3

The Native simply doesn't fit my hand.
The Citadel isn't legal for me to own, but if I were in the market for a switchblade, that would be my first choice.
The Caly 3 is a wonderfully designed knife. I'll probably get one, eventually.

Until then, my ZDP Endura with G10 handle, ZDP Stretch, and ZDP Delica will have to do.

I agree with you on the Caly 3. My serrated blade might be a Rescue or similar sheepsfoot pattern. I'm not sure what the "hard use" blade would be - maybe a Military or Manix.

You do have one gap - the post office. (federal facilities have a 2.5" length limit, IIRC). I'd add a Jester or Dragonfly to the mix to cover restrictive environments.

You have listed 2 of my favourite Spydies :D

The Native and Caly III are awesome. The Caly III is possibly almost the perfect knife for me. It has a choil for choking right up on the blade for more delicate cutting work, a low riding clip for aded concealability, a wire clip which is secure yet doesn't snag as much on clothing/ seats/ car paintwork !, and it has a FFG blade which is a super slicing profile :D I cannot legally own or carry an auto but if I could I probably would pass on them anyway.

Great choices mate, you should look at the Persian and the Delica, you won't regret it.....but your wallet might !

Cheers
Daniel

I love the Caly 3 !

Its about the perfect blade shape, a warnie with a bit of belly. Its looks good in a Spyderco kind of way..... mine mostly gets PJ use around the house at night. Its also ZDP, but I had Tom Krein thin her out!

I have to agree, the Caly 3 has to be close to the perfect EDC for me as well. It gets more pocket time than any other folder I've owned. For the same reasons as already mentioned
