I have another purchase opportunity - this time a 40 year old guitar - and I'm fundraising. These are my favorite "smaller" knives from my bailey collection, but my collection is streamlining to his biggest work and more unusual pieces, and it's time to clear space. The three for sale are the second, fourth and fifth knives in the photos.
My paypal is: kentbell - at - twobytwelve - dot - com
First "I'll take it" gets the knife.
Please feel free to ask any questions. Your satisfaction is important to me.
#2 - High-contrast San Mai, Amboyna Burl Handle, stingray inlaid sheath. This was a custom order where I asked Matt to make whatever he wanted, so long as it was his "best work". He did not disappoint. The knife is 9 5/8 overall length, 4 3/4 tip to handle, 4 7/8 edge length, a hair over 3/16 wide at the spine below the swedge. This knife is stunning in every way. It's hard to see this one go, but it needs a home.
$ 350 shipped, paypal for "goods" (not personal) only, please.
#4 - 1095 with Black-and-tan stacked micarta handle. Nice hamon. One of the best looking and best feeling knives in my collection of over 20 Baileys. 4 1/2" tip to handle, 4 5/8 edge. Fileworked tang. Fiar warning, the inner curve or the handle is a little undersized if you have big hands. I'm a short fella and it fits me fine.
$ SOLD shipped, paypal for "goods" (not personal) only, please.
#5 - 1095 large straight hunter with micarta bolsters and spalted maple burl scales. This has been gently used and shows just the tiniest touch of patina/mottling on the edge bevel on the last 3/4" near the point. Hard to get a photo of it, but it's there. Fileworked tang. 4 1/8 blade, 4 1/4 edge. Great blade for camp tasks (no recurve plus finger clearance for food prep, still big enough to notch wood and sharp enough to dress an animal. I liked this knife so much that I sold it and ended up buying it back a month later. It's time to finally let it go.
$ 225 shipped, paypal for "goods" (not personal) only, please.
