I figure the "man sized" horn handle would be a little large for my dainty hands. :(

Kesar used to make smaller handles for folks like me.

This forum is funny; I paid 125 for my 19" chit a year ago. Now one sits here for 95.

I was looking for a chitlangi 19 inches. But that one seems a bit heavy for a combined self defence and light camping utility.

How is your experience with your's Munk?

That's the best-looking chit that I've seen in a long time. Wish I hadn't just bought one.

Eik, mine is 19" and weighs about 25 oz. I think this one is about right. Notice the handle is longer than usual for khuks. You'll get leverage there and find a comfortable grip. The blade is just heavy enough to chop, and with that handle, light enough to whip around fast. I use mine for hiking.

Yes, I noticed that handle too. It looks right.

Hmmm... I had some info from Skeletor about weight range of chitlangis on another thread. He told me they can come even lighter and with a somewhat distal tapering. I think I'll hold until Uncle Bill comes with something he calls "quick as a cat", and then I'll grab that one.

Patience is a virtue.

rocks! I will soon be employed again, and should be able to afford this stuff again. Is that chit still up fer grabs?

Course, I may just hafta take the wife on vacation to Reno and the surrounding area...save on ship time and $$ you know...
