The M43 arrived Friday as I was leaving for Montana. What a beauty! The handle has a great palm swell that fits my hand perfectly, kinda like that SAA Rusty mentioned a few days ago. This one will probably not want to twist in my hand like my other M43 with the slimmer handle.

Scabbard, karda and chakma are all first-rate.

I have not had time for a field test yet, I just got back into town an hour ago. This blade will need a good sharpening and honing prior to use, but it's an absolute winner. :D
 
Ah yes: top of handle curved, lower part basically straight. That's the way mine arrived, but not the way it stayed. Now it's got a matching curve on top and bottom straps of the handle.
 
Glad I read this thread! M43 just arrived and it is awesome!!!!!! Now I can find out why others have raved over this model of khuk. Kumar does some awesome work. The horn on the handle is very nice! Haven't had the time to really check it out yet but will soon. Just got in and am tired. They're trying to work us to death.
