I have reached a point in my collecting where I have determined that I like a folder with a blade that is 3" or less. I was holding my small classic Sebenza one day and it dawned on me. It meets all my needs! Not too big, not too small. Doesn't raise attention when pulled out in public. So, I am now creating a must have list, and I would love to hear from you fellow knife nuts out there. My budget is tight, so I must sell a few things to help feed the addiction, but as money is available, I will pick off of the list we make. My sebenza came from the sale of my hoyt compound bow. Best trade off I have ever made. Here is my current list of knives that I have on the radar. I look forward to hearing from you, and remember that I am a dreamer, and pics help!

Current list of 3" or less desires:
Manix2 (I know, the length is close to breaking my 3" mark, but close enough)
Buck Vantage Pro
Fallkniven U2
Spyderco Persistence
ZT 0350

I have:
Chris Reeve Classic Small Sebenza
Kershaw OD-1
Spyderco Para-Military
Benchmade Mini-Grip
Benchmade Mini-Dejavoo
Kershaw Random Leek
Spyderco Stretch(Pushes the max length I would like)
CRKT small M-21

Spyderco Caly 3 and BM 707 sequel are my favorites. A Strider PT CC is what I want though. Ahh some day:)

The only one on your list that I own and use is the U2.

About as sheeple friendly a knife one can find, I suppose. I use mine as an office knife, in rotation with a UPKP and mini-Ritter Griptillian.

Takes wicked acute edge, light in weight, and small.

If you want really inexpensive and light in weight, try a Japanese HIGONOKAMI knife. Been playing with one for the last few days (so its on my mind) and the blade is pretty good. Beware, it is a friction folder, though.

Spyderco Sage, Caly3, UKPK, Bob T slipit are a couple you should look at.

So the Caly 3 has been repeated a few times already. Adding it to the list. Thanks, and keep it coming.

Kershaw Ram is a ton of fun on the relatively cheap.
UKPK is a real favorite of mine, in fact my EDC at the office. Light, simple and useful.
Vantage Pro is surprisingly nice, high value for the dollar.
ZT 0350 is great, but definitely on the large size compared to some of the others you're talking about.
Strider PTs are a good choice, I prefer it over a Small Sebenza even.
Galyean Pro Series Small JYD is out of this world nice. Get one while you can.
Spyderco Persistence. I never had the urge to get a Tenacious, but I am interested in checking out this smaller version.
Manix 2 is a tank. I can't say enough good things about mine, but it's definitely pushing your size requirement.

Why don't you get a small slipjoint like the Case Swayback Jack in CV? A nice slippie is good to have in your pocket.;)

The Kershaw ti/zdp Mini Cyclone is a wonderful thing (if you can find it).

My recent caly 3's is the only 3" knife in the past few years thats got to split pocket time with my small micarta sebbie. The sebbie was the only 3" EDC I carried untill the caly.

Fit and finish is amazing! There made in the same plant as the ZDP William Henry's... for what thats worth, may not mean a thing to most.

I like the CF/ZDP and the G-10/VG10. The CF/ZDP is the top dog classy one, but both are great blades IMO.

Boker Trance in drop point. Great knife and inexpensive. A year old and I still love mine. Great knife.

I love the Delica. You might also like to try the Tenacious (3.4", I believe) or its newly released little brother, the Persistence (2.75"). The Persistence might be 2.75", but that's 2.75" of all cutting edge which is even more than the Delica has, I believe.

Caly 3 in either steel, depending on your cutting needs and the amount you wish to spend.

Regards,
3G

Mentioned b4 but a big  in my book

Boker Trance/Hyper
Spy Delica

I also like ...
SAKs. Ya gotta own one. The fieldmaster is my favorite. I like having the saw and scissors available.
Kabar Dozier. 3 inch blade in AUS8. $20

The folder I usually carry is a Kershaw Rainbow Leek. The blade is 3". It's nicely sharp, and VERY pointy!
