3" Or Under, Drop-Point Recurve Folder?

Sorry if I sound condescending at all, but I really, and I mean REALLY love Darrel Ralph's work. His assisted opener are awesome, although not the first, I think they are a little safer than (including the Dominator, and Camillus speedsafes) the Kershaws because from what I've noticed it takes a bit more strength to engage them. Good Luck with your search! :D

Oops, didn't follow this thread...so EDCeeker, what did you end up getting?

Actually, it does. Just a slight one, but it's there. Even Benchmade thinks so. Go to the product page and note it has a link to "find more modified drop point with recurve."

Yeah, I know, but it's soooo slight, I don't really consider it a recurve.

Not sure if that's an improvement or not. Thanks for the heads-up.

I heard the 440V was too easy to chip and S30V is a bit more chip resistant. Plus, Crucible stopped making 440V, so they had to switch.

No offense intended, but those spring-loaded catch mechanisms in the blade strike me as Very Wrong--a gimmick and a malfunction just waiting to happen.

The Mini Mojo would be my first stud lock and I found it interesting, so I wanted to try it. I'm waiting tho until the Mini Mojo is switched to 13C26.

Wow. It's looking like Camillus is the only knife manufacturer to have made a knife meeting my specifications. To bad they didn't make many of them and the company's probably going bye-bye.

I found the same. I may pick up a Blaze anyways as I recently got a Sizzle for my dad and I was impressed. Overall F&F wasn't quite as good as Kershaw, but it was nice still. AO was fast, but needs less resistance than Kershaws to open (which may be less safe) and it has a longer flipper (more leverage). The Zytel handle felt quite nice, much nicer than the Mini-Grip's handle. 3.75" closed is perfect, and a 3" blade is quite long for that size of handle (nice!).
I'm also eyeing the BM HK 14300. 3.9" closed and a 2.97" 440C blade. I like the bull-nosed shaped blade. Made in China or Taiwan (don't know which one) also, but looks nice. Wish it came with G10 scales tho. No AXIS, just normal thumb stud and liner lock.
I also picked up a CRKT Viele Wasp just a couple of days ago and I really like it. Titanium frame with G10 scales and a SS liner lock. Blade is 2.5" AUS-118 which seems to be similar, if not better, than 440C (perhaps similar to ATS-34/154CM/VG-10) which is fine for me. Closed is 3.75", which is perfect for me.

Believe it or not: I ended-up with a Camillus CUDA EDC in 154CM :). I kept checking and one showed up, NIB, on eBay. Been carrying it a couple weeks, now. I think it's my current favourite.

Thanks for asking and for your other comments.
