3 spydies, or 1 Sebbie.

Good show everyone- no brand bashing!

I don't have any CRK's and not sure I ever will, but I love my Spydie's (at least most of them). For price/performance and overall quality you can't go wrong. And there's a HUGE variety to choose from; something to meet every need.

Tough decision for you. I'd sell the one(s) I could get the most $'s for and start over again from there;).

Sell the Sebenza and PM2 for max. funds, if that’s what’s needed. The Endura and Chaparral won’t fetch much. You’ve already got a CRK, so there’s that. Don’t worry about the 21 being discounted, there will be plenty on the market for a while.

I really like Spyderco. Most of my knives are Spydercos. I like to have around 3-4 CRKs though. If I had to sell all but two of my knives I would have two CRKs.

My personal choice would be the Sebenza, but many are just as happy with their Spyderco knives. In the end if they carry well and cut well that is all you can ask from a knife.

I EDC'd a Delica for >5 years awhile back. Now I won't buy one at all. Spydercos take up too much room in the pocket and generally don't have enough belly on the blade for my tastes. I would pick the CRK.

Having owned 4-5 Seb 21, 1 umnum, 1 Inkosi ,1 25..1/2 dozen PM2/mili and 1/2 dozen XM 18.

I think my incoming Shaman DLC might be the winner!!

Wishful thinking .. we will see. Now I want a CRK

Keep whichever knife you reach for the most and sell the rest.
Or, if you really need the funds, sell them all and pick up a budget folder.

Usually I would favor quality over quantity but in the case of knives not so much. Hygiene and food products more so. Big difference from name brands to generics.

I look at these as items you will use, wear out, sharpen, and even get lost. I'd rather lose $50-100 dollar knives then a knife that cost a car payment. I'd rather own two Corollas then one Mercedes.

Sell all 4
You're going to carry the Zaan everyday anyways right?
Free up the funds with a bit left over to buy something that may give you pause before reaching for that Zaan.

Sebenzas are very nice but I think they're not the best knife for the user. They're the best knife for the manufacturer. A ton of attention and detail goes into the grind, the fit/finish, and the design but S30v and S35vn were designed and selected for their machinability and resistance to warping while having good enough performance otherwise. At this point they're middle of the road steels and if someone was going to really make "the ultimate" pocket folder I'd expect them to use something like maxamet, Rex121, or even lesser steels like 4v/M4.

This isn't a dig at CRK or even the steels he helped design. CRK makes a very well put together knife. I just can't bring myself to spend that money on a folder that makes such a compromise on one of the three most important factors. I'd keep the Spydercos.

A long time ago I decided that one nice watch was better than five cheap watches. I've (tried) to carry that over to knives, but it's hard to actually do with either. The danger is deciding you'd rather have one expensive knife than three cheap ones, and just ending up with three expensive knives instead.

Finally made a decision. Took awhile. I’ll come back to a Sebenza down the road. It would be hard to replace the Superblue or the Rex 45.
