It bit me! And now we're best buddies. lol. Just thought I'd share. Was trying to non shalontly open an impossible candy rapper at my son's b-ball game, and opened it with my mini cqc7 and when closing it I was trying to b descreet while folding, my thumb was still n the blade path. And bam 3 stitches! Sorry it's a tad blurry. But I guess answers the chisel grind question, it does cut! https://vault.myvzw.com/webcs/app/share/invite/kvPGRr1DLe

Funny to see this thread today (not funny that it happened to you!). Last night sitting on my couch watching the SB game and "playing" with a Strider SnG. Cut the heck out of the the knuckle of my right thumb while closing the knife! Finally got the bleeding to stop after about 1/2 hour, but had to keep it bandaged or else it would start to bleed. Doing better know, but it will start bleeding if I bend my thumb, not sure what I should do as far as getting stitches? Had a buddy tell me that I have already waited to long for that (happened about 11:00 last night)?

Any doctors in the house? haha

Yes I'm a medical person and can tell u healing has already begun which is to late. Mine wouldn't quit either or else would have just wrapped up tight, sorry to hear and good luck with it. Side not durma bond works great it's basically glue for skin, get at pharmacy OTC.

Also don't bend it to that point for a few days if possible and with tight bandage and or the durma bond it will close, if around possible contaminants keep covered and make sure for several hrs each day it is opened and can get air! It does need both. Alot of people keep things like this bandaged at all times but does need open when possible. Good luck

Wish you speedy healing.

Most of us get bit by our knives playing with them.

Though hardly to the point of getting stitches. Did happen to me once though.

I'm an EMT, I work on a 911 ambulance.

Sweet! I had a similar cut the other day with a freshly sharpened griptilian. No stitches just stri-strips to hold it together.

I would really like to thank you guys for your advice/help! I will definitely look into the products you mentioned.

I just glad I wasn't playing with my Rockstead Shin at the time!!

You guys...

Haven't you ever learnt any knife rules? Don't you know your not supposed to cut yerself?

I have a Fred Perrin Le Kiridashi and when I was opening the package it came in it fell onto my leg, when I grabbed for it really fast I pushed it into my thigh about a quarter of a inch. It hurt but reminded me I'm alive. Oh and it reminded me not to do that again, ever.

I think small cuts teach and remind us to be careful, other wise we would be careless (obviously-right?) and we would be hurt much worse. Yep sometimes a cut can be a good thing.
