Let's see if the pix posts. If so I'll add the text.

Success. Here's the text.

top -- 17.5 inch 28 ounce M43 by a new kami. His initials are Y. B. and his mark -- gotta love this one -- is an exclamation mark. Whoever he is he does good work. Can't find a thing wrong with this rig and he's got the Sher "almost convex edge. I'll send this one for $75 delivered if you will write a good field report so we'll know what this new exclamation mark kamis is made of.

center -- 20 inches and 25 ounces of very, very good Cherokee Rose by Bura. Very light, fast and well balanced. Beautifully carved (fish from Tashi Dili symbols) saatisal handle done by Bura himself. For $150 it's got to go into the UBBB category. Very nice scabbard (non yellow) by village sarki.

bottom -- Another Movie model by Buta courtesy "The Mummy." Bura likes to make this knife and it shows. 10/10 effort. 220.5 inches and 28 ounces. The only problem with this rig is it's easy to cut thru the scabbard because of the shape of the blade and it has sharp edge topside.
Another UBBB at $150 delivered to your door.

Call or email.

And if the blades look frosty that's oil, dust and lint and not the way the blade actually looks. All are magic stone mirror finish.

OH MY!!!! I had a dream last night that Uncle Bill had an M43 and Cherakee Rose that would get put up for sale. Then I login today and find out that I'm right.:eek::D Man, I wish I had the money.

- Nice pic by the way.;)

We have an opening for the resident HI psychic. Is Heber our man?

Good job on the photo-- both snap and post:)

And the knives...man, what a line-up!!!
wish I wasn't poor. Otherwise, I'd buy whatever wasn't already gone.

What's up with the end of the tang on the movie model? Is that a characteristic of the movie model?

Thanks for thoughtful and generous forumites for pix improvement and to Dan for tutoring in posting them.

WOW!!!

Excellent pix!

Uncle - looks like you've noticed that if you host the pix yourself (on himalayan-imports.com instead of bfc) you can make it whatever size you want (no pix errors either).

This is exactly what we've all been waiting for. Beautiful detail!

By the way, it looks like that "old dog" can still learn new trick or two...:p

Bill - take a nice detailed, closeup pic of the "white metal" handle on the other thread - we need to see it.

I'll do it if that will sell it. Will that sell it?

Unbeliveable!

First day there was a WW2, yesterday a wonderful M43, and today also an incredible M43! And I missed all of them!

Will there be more feeding frenzies during Easter?

I think I have to lock myself to the computer and stop wandering on the mountain this holiday.

I'm interested in seeing the handle, although not for this particular knife.
At the beginning of the month, I'd just bought a BAS and decided for budgetary reasons I only really needed two more khukuris for the next couple of months:
a 12" Sirupati; and
a 12" AK

We're now in the middle of the month, I've bought two khukuris (one from Mr. Powell, and one from Uncle Bill) and I still need:
a 12" Sirupati; and
a 12" AK
:) :)

If I like the handle, though, I'll know to jump at the chance to buy one when and if it's attached to:
a 12" Sirupati; or
a 12" AK :D
