Have been lurking in this forum for a few months now. Was amazed at how many of you seem to have similar views and priorities. But then someone here did say that people somehow manage to find each other. Last week, I got the 30" Sher Sirupati that was an UBBB on Monday.

The fit and finish are absolutly perfect. The edge was sharp, but had a burr I could feel with a fingernail. I took it out and tryed it on some saw grass and scrub trees. It cut just fine. I took off the burr with a DMT Diamond Hone. It cut even better. Would slice/ chop through anything up to about the diameter of my wrist with one stroke as long as I choped/ sliced at about a 45 degree angle.

I wouldn't want to carry something that heavy all day. Certainly wouldn't want to chop with it very long. Sure is a comfort to have a singing sword that feels like it can cut through anything, decapitate dragons...

Welcome to the HI 'Cantina', Ed! (I'm sure if anything could decapitate a dragon, a khukuri could :) )

Nobody does it quite like Sher does.:D

I have a 25" Sirupati and it is sweet.

Welcome, Ed. I was just like you almost three weeks ago; admiring my first HI Khuk. Funny thing though...they begin to mulitiply. :D

Have a 30" with 6 pointed star. Kumar? Can be swung singlehanded, but really should be handled with two hands. Just fixed a long, deep crack in the horn handle.

Welcome to the Cantina. Your choice for a first khuk surprises me just a bit. I went just a bit smaller than that. Like down to 15" AK and BAS. You are right about taking off heads. There is no doubt that the 30" Siru. will do just that and then some.

Again Welcome. This is the best of the forums that I have found.. Good info and good guys giving it out here. Enjoy!! :) :D

Already have a 20" sirupati by Bura, 15" AK by Bura, and BAS by Kumar. This one actualy was the one that helped me decide to register on the forum. Amazing where the endless chain of cause and effect leads.

Welcome to the Psycho Ward otherwise known as the Cantina Ed!!!!:D

Rusty forgot to mention that he uses his 30" Sirupati for spinal adjustments, so you might be careful just how you swing it.;)

Pull up a chair by the wood stove and take off those freezing boots so's you can toast them toes. You're with family, whether you like it ( or them ) or not. May as well make up your mind to enjoy it.

Someone reminded us awhile back of the Eagles lyrics from their "Hotel California" album where it goes like "you can check out anytime you want, but you can never leave!"
