OK, I couldn't resist. Here is my latest acquisition. Yes, it's hanging on the wall, but no, it's not a "wall hanger." It's forged carbon steel, sharpens up like a champ, and the fit and finish is pretty good for the price. It easily chops up a 2x4 with no effort. Pretty fun!

Just saw the movie yesterday. Man that forward heavy blade can do some serious chopping I bet and the profile of the front of the blade is good for penetration. I wonder if this design was optimum for battle?

It is modeled after the Greek Kopis so yea I would say so...The handle might need some redoing BACK to what it once was

Looks a lot like a roman gladius, only curved in the middle. I wonder if the gladius was modeled after Greek weaponry.
