I have been trying to get on the Buck Forum for awhile. Really enjoy reading the forum and appreciate the quality and interest Buck has in helping there customers. Just wondered if there are others who use and enjoy the 300 series as much as I do. I have a couple of Lightnings, CrossLock Lifesaver to name a few but I keep coming back the the traditional pocketknife. Thanks and God bless.

Russell,

Welcome to the forums! Glad to have you aboard. I have a couple of stags in the 300 series. I occasionally carry them. I too, like the traditional knives, although the one handed openers are convenient. I don't live too far from you. Goode is midway between Bedford and Lynchburg. I'm going to try to make the big swapmeet/flea market over your way next Labor Day weekend. Have you had any luck finding any Bucks there?

Thanks for the reply. If you have never been to the Hillsville Gun Show/Flea Market you are in for an adventure. The little town of Hillsville, normally about 2000 people grows to near half a million over Labor Day. I bought a 310 last year. I did not get to go much this year. I tried to find Goode on the atlas. I'm glad you told me where it is. You are only a couple of hours from me. I also enjoy the one-handers. They are convenient. I am a pastor and feel a little self conscious about having a knife clipped to my pocket. I do use them when I'm out piddling or on rescue calls. Buck has been a great company to do business with. Yes, you can find lots of knives in Hillsville, Bucks included.
Thanks again and God bless
Russell

Welcome to the forums, Russell!

I too have several one hand knives, but the ones that are used the most are traditional knives. My Buck 701 Bronco is used every day along with a little Victorinox SAK.

Good to have you here.

Hi Russell,
Welcome to the forum....good to have you here.

I love the 300 series. What a useful knife! My pride and joy is my yellow composite handle 3 blade stockman. I find that they are very well made and even on Ebay I get sniped all the time when I am bidding on them.

Buck did a good job with this knife.

I have a 703 that I use pretty often. I have wondered why the nail pull on the 703 is near the center of the blade and on the other 700s it is near the point. I think it would look better and more balanced if it were located near the center of the blade, especially on the smaller ones. The 700s are sturdy well built knives. But then, all Bucks that I have are well made.
