Here is my rendition of the sword from the movie 300. It is made from 1/4in 5160 with a differentially hardened blade. 21 1/4 overall with a 14 3/4 blade. Scales are jade green G10. Sheath is a simple kydex cover. Price is $500 ***SOLD*** shipped in CONUS(intl shipping extra and at buyer's risk). I can accept paypal(+3%) or MO

The Greeks would probably loved to have one with steel that good. The Romans fought with a "gladius" about that big.
That is an impressive piece! In this part of the world it would make a good "truck knife".:D :D

I wonder if it feels akward with so much weight at the tip? I think horn or wood would suit the handle better.

Truck knife??!!! Would be nice to have in my 18-wheeler. Candian customs might freak if they found it though!!! :D Gorgeous piece though!

It doesn't feel awkward at all. In fact to my hand it feels like the love child of a kukri and a gladius :) Thrusts well but still cuts/chops great! I removed a lot of steel so it is pretty well balanced for both roles. Now I am not saying it would be the first thing I would grab for an actual fight, but it is far from just a fantasy piece :D
