300+ wr black watch? with low price

That's a great tip, I'm actually going to look at those, this one has been a good one for me it I've never gone anymore than 100 feet below the surface. Never showered with it either, just rinsed it off with cold city water after diving. Can't dive no more though. I don't even know if they make this model. I would look at casios also, they have some tough watches, I don't know about water resistance.

FYI That is a Seiko orange monster. While they no longer make it with the 7s26 movement they recently updated it with a hacking movement. I've got your watches newer relative with a black face on a bracelet. Great watch.

Yeah it is a great watch, I couldn't remember it's called monster, thanks; I used to have a black on a stainless bracelet so I know what you're talking about. I tried to sell both when I broke my back. They made it hackable! That's awesome, now I want one. I thought about buying a bracelet for this, they are excellent, at least the old ones, do they have the same kind? The old bracelet had the wet suit extension on it.

sorry, i know there are answers in my threads, i just had no time, and am almost sleeping - midnight exactly, but just found my watch are full of steam again, digits are almost not visible and this is really a big problem for me - i need watch, bcoz of my work.
200 meters wr surely not enough for me. i hope 300 will solve problem. the title SIA. thnx

You didn't say what watch you are wearing. Some watches may say 200M but that might just be marketing and the watch really won't take it. But despite the rating I've also read before that steam and soapy water is not good for the watch seals.

They look basically identical, mines been great and its taken some pretty hard hits as well as some mountain bike rides when I forgot to take it off. The bracelet still has the extension, but I think its a bit finickier than the old ones, could just need to get broken in more though I rarely that these days.

What is a "low price" to you?

I bought an old Black Monster and used it as a beater. Not in the shower but washing dishes. Then the bezel got so hard to turn, I dripped liquid soap into it and soaked the whole watch and nylon NATO band in hot water, then cold rinsed it all off. Wrapped in a towel then hung it up to dry. No problem!

Those watches are practically indestructible. Mine lasted well beyond an infantry tour in Iraq.

Don;t take your watch in the shower cuz it will die = I ain't gonna' trust that watch in a saltwater dive.

Exactly.

The one on the right is rated to 300m and showered every day... and was made in 1987. No issues. The one on the left is rated to 3900m and showers every day. No issues.

Did I see a Superocean Heritage on your wrist in another pic?

Beautiful watches CM. I dig the antique vintage Rolexes much more than the newer designs.

I quickly sold the Submariner when I got the Deepsea.

The size is just right... the Sub felt small.

These are always a good reliable watch for the money. http://www.orient-watch.com/products/category/item/?category_id=172

But really...A little bit of soap isn't going to wreck your watch, what does wreck it is lack of maintenance.
When you go diving in the ocean, after the dive it's a good idea to rinse off the salt with some fresh water, or over time it will eat away at the seals. Same with the soap, rinse it off with fresh water and you will be fine.
Also every couple of years take it to a proper Watchmaker that can not only replace the gaskets but also pressure test it. Over time like anything made from rubber the gaskets get old and brittle and even shrink. (Many watches leak after a battery change because this isn't done)

Another bad habit to stay away from is constantly fiddling with the crown...I've seen people who because the watch gained "10secs" are constantly adjusting the the time. This prematurely wears out the gaskets in the crown, and low and behold the watch leaks.

Hopefully this helps :D
