3000 Post Giveaway

I rarely take a camera with me with I hike and camp - but this is a shot from my Mothers House in Michigan. I LOVE to spend my summers sitting in a chair, whittling walking sticks, and watching my boys play. We use her house as a base of operations to hike and camp and the like:

Thanks for the chance to post up.

If you ever come to Indiana I can get some sherpa's together and we can make a joint summit attempt here at Indiana's highest peek...

This isn't fair. The OP didn't say you could post up picture of high mountain work! If you need sherpa's, oxygen and a helicopter to get there - it should not be allowed! ;)

100 ft from my front door. I don't get there often and should be shot for ever leaving.

my brothers place outside newberg. 10 acres filberts, 2 acres lavendar, 1 acre pinot noir grapes. this was a bittersweet day. my 50 bday and almost all the sibs together. the first time since the eldest, naomi, died in nov 08. and one brother in portland had to work. great to have so many bros and sis(and kids n grandkids) together but we were sure feeling the loss of naomi.

thanks again!

This is in the Olympic Mountains in Western Washington. Right before the camera went off that goat let out a deep breath and my son almost came out of his boots.

Amen brother! I grew up in Hood River, OR right at the base of Mt. Hood. Beautiful area! Moved away for 10 years but I'm back and loving it!

Sorry to hear about your job, I lost mine two months ago. Money is a bit tight but I have lots of time to fish. Here's a trout stream I really enjoy.
