It came to my attention today that I've broken the 3,000-post barrier and so, keeping with tradition, have decided to celebrate with a giveaway! Up for grabs is a brand new....

...Condor Bush Knife! (photo courtesy Blade Magazine website)

The Bush Knife is one of my favorite woods tools, and is one heck of a versatile design. Given my love for Condor in general (as many of you already know) I figured it most appropriate to help spread the love! :D

Here are the rules, plain and simple:

--Write a mini review of your daily carry knife. Make it as long as you want, but bonus points are given to those who say the most with the fewest words. Make it clear, neat, and professional (like you were writing for a magazine). The content is up to you.

--The contest will run until next Friday, at which point I will pick a winner based on the quality of their mini review. The winner, upon receiving the prize, must then put it to hard use and post a second review, this time of the prize itself. This one is all yours, so have fun with it!

--Open to U.S. and Canadian residents.

Any chance I can pull up an old thread where I did a review on the knife, maybe quote my post?

edit: Never mind I will be out of town during this contest and someone else would probably give it more use, thanks anyways fortytwoblades

You can quote an old one as long as the knife being reviewed is your EDC. :)

Congrats on 3k buddy!

I'm in, I will post my review in a few days. I have been eyeballing that thing; it seams like it would make a good forraging tool!

Thanks for the opportunity.

My EDC is a Smith & Wesson cuttin horse. It's super sharp, easy to sharpen, and very inexpensive to own. I bought a second one w/different color to use when this one wears out, but I don't think the first one is going to wear out.:D

I was struggling in my quest to find the perfect EDC for my needs and so designed it myself and had JK knives bring it to reality. I called it the TTSK ( Tiny Terror Survival Knife ) as I wanted the most amount of knife in as small a package as possible while still able to fill 99% of my needs.
The odd shape of the blade lends itself to a wide variety of tasks from food prep and Skinning to Bushcraft !
The handle is the best feature and feels rock solid in whatever grip you take, the overall feel of the knife inspires confidence and you just know that this blade is in it for the long haul !!!!!

Thanks for the little review anyhow! :) Like I said, I'd love to have it open to those outside the US (I know a lot of you great folks here aren't) but I'm so busy all the time I'd have to just slap a quick label on it and pop it in the mail. :o

Sure, you like it, but I understand Stomper had to enter therapy!

My EDC is currently my Benchmade 556 Mini Griptilian. I love this knife. It has 154CM steel which is easy to sharpen and holds a very nice edge. I carry this knife because it's not "scary" where I work and it definately gets the job done. It's just the right size for all my tasks at a hospital environment where I work and has never let me down.

Spyderco Delica -

Yes, it's Foliage green, just like the much larger RAT knives in the photo. But the small size means it's always in my pocket and get carried and used daily.
Whether it's opening mail, cutting string or trimming the nails, the diminutive Delica does the job.
Sal's VG-10 steel is no longer "New-Kid on the Block" but really sharpens easily and cuts like, well, a knife through butter
Yes, for Every-Day-Carry it's tough to top the lil' green Delica from Spyderco in Golden - Colorado - USA - Earth :D

I EDC many knives (sometimes many at once). I love my "tacticool" one-hand or assisted openers (I always carry one) they change according to mood/tasks of the day.The one knife I always carry is a Victorinox Tinker it features a large and small knife blade a phillips screwdriver(main reason I chose this model) a can opener/small screwdiver ,a large screwdriver/bottle opener/wire stripper also a reamer/with a sewing eye and the ever present tweezers and toothpick. I own other multi tools made by Gerber and Leatherman and I always find them too bulky for EDC, the SAK is so thin and light I sometimes forget I have it, I often use the knife blades for things I would never use a "Better" knife for, like scraping a battery terminal or stripping heavy wire and I sometimes even use them to cut things. The other tools work great for the intended purpose and if you think hard enough many other things as well. The Tinker is a well made tool that after two years of daily use(and abuse) shows no signs of wear and works perfectly. I will always carry a knife as long as it is legal (hell even after it`s not) and one of the knives I carry will be a SAK, I plan on getting a few more to try other features and perhaps find a model I like even more.
Thank you for the the chance to win a great tool and the push to write a review.

Fine then American Snobs:mad::grumpy::D:p

Just for that I'll have to decide which of the 4 knives I regularly carry is an EDC and post a review anyways!!!

Well, actually, hold on, does one tend to actually have to do anything different to post it to Canada? I just know we (at the shop) have had difficulties sending sharp stuff over the border before.

I use my Leatherman Kick everyday at work . The blade gets used for cutting dry wall, cardboard... The pliers are a good design and able to cut light wire. The screwdrivers have held up. The bottle opener has come in real handy , the best tool I have found for removing o-rings from fire extinguishers. The bottle opener also throws sparks well. I have a small flashlight attached to the sheath with a piece of innertube, that gets used daily also. I dont know how I got along without one.

It has even been used as a makeshift locking pliers on several occasions.

Cool reviews guys! Keep 'em coming!

Edit to Add: I will open this up to Canadian residents as well if somebody can tell me what I'd have to do to make sure it doesn't get bumped by customs!

Just came back on- thanks for the offer of inclusion, I was just being a smartass but appreciate it. As it cannot be flicked open, is not a push dagger, knuckle knife or throwing star it should not be at all a customs concern. Just make sure to not lie on forms, say it is a giveaway gift and real value, maybe put a copy of the giveaway in it for verification purposes (not necessary but shows proof) and it should be good to go.

Hope this helps.
Kris

Just edited the OP to include our Canadian brothers. Pitdog, your entry is no considered in the contest! Looking forward to seeing yours, Kris, and thanks for helping me figure this out. ;)

Post 'em up, guys!Still plenty of time. :D
