A guy at work wanted me to get some information on his Dad's knife. For sure it has seen better days. Any information will be passed on to him.

Ed, I'm sure 300Bucks will be along soon and give you all the infomation you could ask for. He is the expert on the slippies.

Aw, you guys know my standard reply, an expert is a has-been drip under pressure......

Its a Camillus contract from the main years, 74 -85, the version just before Buck started making their own. It should have a little bit of a notch for the pen blade nic on the back side. Probably 440A steel.

He could buy a cheap Bay junker and carefully pop off shield and re-glue it on that one. Even get one of the knife doctors to replace the broken blade if the junkers pen blade is good.. Then he could carry it on special occasions. The clip blade is not in bad shape...

Not much else to tell. For me the little 305 is so small it's just a finger nail knife. These 309s are big enough to feel right but small enough for Sunday type wear.

Shoot all I can find on 309 is a really old photo....better than nothing. Just a line up of the 309 over the ages. This knife is second from the bottom on the left. Shield is glared out.
