So was I supposed to goggle LR?
Bill, not sure why people are beating around the bush so much. You were at the 30th so im sure you know who Leroy Remer is. He was one of the best Buck ever had and I am confident CJ and Joe H would agree, so it is safe to say he would do a job as well as amyone at Buck. With that said, Ive never sent him a knife to work work on, but i would not be concerned if i did.
Your right, too many bourbons this fine Sunday. you are not who I was thinking of. anyway, Buck or LR will do a fine job getting your 317 to looking a little less used.I’m afraid you have me mixed up with someone else. I wasn’t at no 30th anything.
I really like and collect the tang model stamp 300 series knives. I too believed that they were 1972 models. All early production being hard to date I liked thinking I was concentrating on 1972 Bucks. I have original paperwork for one of mine dating the sale to January 1973 so I assumed manufacturing 1972. Original 317 in 1973 was $24.00 plus tax.
