319 Rancher

For March 19th I have the 319 Rancher. Same frame and pattern as the 301 Stockman but with the Sheepsfoot blade replaced by a punch tool or awl. I recall there were 2 different variations of the awl but I do not have an example to show. Manufactured by Camillus for Buck, they were in the catalog from 1975 to 1991. As with all Camillus contract knives, they were never date coded.

Thanks for posting that knife, Roger. I remember seeing them years back, not so much recently. Just kept putting off buying one to buy others.

I have one of the long nail pull/spiral awl versions. Used to also have the nail nick/smooth awl version, but gifted it away.

I have one of those too. I had focussed on the awl difference but your picture made me realize that the nail nick is different too.
