i`m getting a second 340t , so i`ll have one for display and one for use . do they make good EDC knives? would you consider them to be relatively sheeple friendly?

The 34OT is a great EDC. Small enough not to scare the locals and big enough to hold and get the job done. Schrade made more of these than any other OT and possibly more than any other pattern.. The original USA models can still be found MIB or MIP (Plastic) very cheaply.

The 34ot is a great pocket knife. I have probley seen them pulled from more pockets than any other knife.

I carried one for years. It doesn't scare the locals and has a lot of cutting power & as Larry said, big enough to hang on to.

The 34OT is the essential Old Timer model, to me anyway. If I were to actually carry an Old Timer in my pocket though, the 61OT is more comfortable and a 'better' size.

I carried a 34OT for about 10 years, from the mid 60's to 1976 when it was replaced by a 897UH, lately it is one of those two that usually rides in my pocket.
