347 Vantage March 2024 botm

Well, we've already missed the best dates for 301, 303, and 305. I'm not holding out a lot of hope for a 307 or 309 this week.

However, it's been a while since we've had a 303 BOTM, so even if it's later in the month I'd approve. Maybe something in green paperstone, brass bolsters, and released as close to 3/17 as possible.

Magnacut 55 with Honduran rosewood.
If not, it will be a folder with fancy steel.
Has the botm ever been a brand new model?

Since Buck still makes the 301, maybe they could delete a couple blades and bring back the 302 for the first time as BOTM. Some kind of bone handles would be really nice.

420HC hollow ground Marksman please!

Failing that, I would love a three or four-tined flat frog-gig to follow on the two and four-tined 072 and 074 - which I don’t have yet either, so a re-release of those would be good, too. Preferably before my next trip to visit the in-laws in Tennessee for Memorial Day.

I have had escargot, but I think, I will just ask for a burger. I know frogs legs are good, but I only want to see the finished product. 😀 Tastes like chicken, would, you really eat it if I said tastes like frogs legs?

You are a better man than I - I draw the line at escargot and raw oysters. :)

October 2019 BOTM 867 Vantage fixed blade was a new model, I believe, and I don't think they've made any since.

Culprit99 Culprit99 Not Buck related but the frog-legs reminds me of a story. It was related to me that my wifes grandfather had a small farmette and one of his "crops" was rabbits. He supplied baby rabbit legs to the fancy restaurants in the city who sold them as frog-legs on the menu. Different times.

That's wild! LOL

I have a niece who raises rabbits and sells them to some local restaurants. She uses a Buck 112 Slim Select in her endeavors. Her mom, my sister in law, makes some mighty fine hasenpfeffer.

I knew of the Buck 819, but I did not know until today that Buck made a 819 for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation in 2017 with elk scales. The other 819s I have seen had walnut handles. I think an elk handled 819 would make a great BOTM. I realize it will probably never happen, but I would still like to see one.

Released on 3/17, it will be a......... 317 Trailblazer, in magnacut, with micarta scales. Everyone will be astonished at the throwback and they'll sell out before you can log into your computer or unlock your phone to order.

Or same giddyup in a 309. Or a cool throwback 311 or 313. Or, just bring back the entire 300 series and let us have a field day.
