#35 Beer and Sausage Bar Tool Knife

It's good to see the pictures so rapidly, plus the enthusiasm:thumbsup: But it looks kind of veterinary to me, dog grooming anyone ;):D

I hear that Bill Howard is fanatic on keeping the tooling in perfect working condition. There is no such thing as a perfect knife. But ,Great Eastern Cutlery never stops trying to produce the best production knives that they can.

Not.

Quality issues are what made them fail in the end. IMO

I'm forced to agree. I have had to send back at least three Queen knives in the past because of poor QC and overall fit and finish. On all three of those knives (which were all Keystone models), the shields were floating in holes that were A. too big for the shields and looked to have been made to fit with glue and B. looked like they'd been chiseled out of the scale with a hammer and a small flat-tip screwdriver. If I can find the pic on my phone that I took of the last one, I'll have to post it. So, fair warning, if you are looking to purchase Queen knives, make sure you look at the pictures carefully and don't be shy in requesting high res images of the specific knife you're interested in.

I own several Queen knives, but they're all gems in the rough. On the other hand, every single GEC I've owned has been virtually flawless. Also, seeing what many folks here look for, and look at with regard to that, it's no secret to me why Queen went out of business.

JOELSM JOELSM Thank you for sharing. My tracking info says mine will be in my hands in a couple days and I am even more excited than I was seeing GEC's official shots of the actual knife for the first time. These look fantastic, and I cannot wait to give that BRR a try for the first time. :D

Pull on blade and fork/bottle opener is medium (~5). The BRR Tool pull is very light. BRR tool might have slight rub, TBD. Overall, I...do...digit!

Can you post a pic of the tube? Is it a standard tube?

Can you take some pix of "comb" on rim of glass and/or jar? Saving grace (for me) is if this could actually be used as a strainer. Thanks...looks pretty.

Sorry, but some of us are reading this thread with interest. Can we please not have countless posts about whether you bought one or not? Can we just take it as a given that the knives get sold to some people and that some people missed out?

I disagree... people are excited to score one and we are here to share in their joy.

Regardless of how any of us feel personally, the forum guidelines are pretty clear that we're to discuss the knives themselves and NOT the buying process.
