3500 post/13 days of Festivus GAW! Winner Picked!

Thanks, Granite! The scales look awesome. I'm excited to see them in person.

Oh, and congratulations on running your mouth. :D

Congrats Jerry! enjoy playing with GSOM's wood. Be sure to beat it hard!

Thanks for the GAW!

Grats jerry those are some nice looking scales..and ty granite for the chance at a great GAW

CONGRATULATIONS JERRY!

Granite, those scales look great. I've found a few wood scales for sale online, but I haven't found any available highly figured like these. Very nice work.

I didn't see it in your OP, what type of wood is this and how did you finish it??

Thanks to everyone for participating. BK&T and Uncle E rock this forum. I wouldn't have even had a 5 to experiment with if not for them. And Jerry D.'s package of....wood, uh, went out with some other...erm, junk. And screws.....and nuts. Enjoy, Mr. D!

CONGRATULATIONS JERRY!

Thank you for the compliments. Those scales are made with curly maple - dyed with some black aniline under a whole lotta very thin coats of clear, satin, wipe on poly. And love.

I was pretty excited to find a little package from NH waiting on me this evening. Thanks Granitestateofmind! These scales are stunning. To top it off, GSOM included a congratulatory roll of duct tape and a sweet lanyard with a cool sliding knot....

I was debating on which Becker they would go on, but as soon as I saw them I knew exactly which one I wanted them on....

The BK5 is dead sexy sporting wood. Granite, excellent job on these scales! I love them. Not only are they gorgeous, but they are incredibly comfortable and well contoured as Becker scales should be.

while playing with my BK5 and fondling its wood I discovered this....

The lanyard glows in the dark! :D Very cool, Granite! I'm going to try to work on getting a few good pictures of my BK5 tomorrow in some decent light. These few don't quite do these scales justice.

Thanks again, Granite.

Jerry:
You are more than welcome. I've yet to get a pic of a GITD lanyard - that one looks pretty good, though!
Thanks for the compliments. I hope they last you a long while.
