Well, being a knife lover I had to see if the INFI hype was justified or not eventually. I decided the BWM was as good as any for me to try first, especially since I could get one at the factory price.

After owning the BWM for a few weeks allow me to give my thoughts. There are quite a few similar knives being offered in this category from other manufactures, some at half the price so why would this Busse be worth the extra $$$$$ from a practical stand point?

I think I have the answers.
-First, INFI really does hold an edge through some brutal treatment. I now believe.
-Second, the handle shape is ideal in every dimension whereas the handles on other knives in this category seem to lack the same sculpturing in all dimensions.
-Third, the choil works great for me on a knife of this blade length.
-Fouth, If the rust/stain resistance of INFI is truly better than say 1095, that's got to be worth something.
-Fifth, if, and I do mean if, the knife appreciates in value, I'll be happy and won't be surprised.
-Sixth, it can be ordered in a number of color combos from a company with a great warranty and service.

In other words, I'm cheap but feel I got more than my money's worth on this one.

Um, welcome to the Busse family! You're gonna like it here :). Congrats on your BWM by the way .

You forgot the best part...unconditional lifetime warranty. You break it, they will replace it. You will always have that knife or one just like it.

The best part is chopping the squeeze out of everything you want to, without thinking "hey, this might irreparably ding my blade". Congrats on the BWM. It's a great first Busse to purchase...and will be very hard to beat in overall performance.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Congrats on a great first Busse. Don't let it be your last.:D:thumbup:

Well, you could sell a couple of grudges to help pay for the BWM. If you do any camping, firewood processing or brush clearing, the BWM excels.

Glad you loving your first:thumbup:
Notice I did say First:p

Also..... hoopster makes a great kydex. Really liking the sheath you made for me:thumbup:

That's good to hear man. I'm always a little nervous putting my work out there but I guess it's a good sign that no one has wanted their money refunded yet. :D
BTW, I'm going to Knob Creek looking for another Busse. If I don't find something I like, I hope the BWM is still on the website when I get home.

I quickly did one in Desert digital camo just to have something to put it in but I didn't have a carry method incorporated yet so I ordered the 10" nylon one from Scrap yard. I love the Scrap yard sheath so I'll probably finish out the Desert camo kydex one and sell it for cheap.

If i get one, ill be taking that one for sure!

Congrats on the BWM:thumbup:
Welcome to the Madness:eek:
Now the tables will flip, and everything else will seem too expensive...except INFI.

INFI WE TRUST:D

I can always make another sheath. I thought it would go well with the sage blade and black micarta but it really didn't IMO. Not that it mattered much since I stripped the blade within the first 3 days. The stripped INFI looks perfect with black micarta handles. If I had to choose a color combo over again I'd go with tan micarta and tanker gray blade.

If i can get one, im gonna go with muddy and tan micarta...but tanker grey would be my second choice in blade color...
